Dowagiac Animal Hospital was founded in 1971 by Doctors Frank and David Butts and has remained at the forefront of veterinary care ever since. Dr. Eugene Wilson became the owner in 2011 and is dedicated to upholding the tradition of excellence and progress. The hospital's mission is to provide the highest standard of medical care for your pet while keeping it as affordable as possible. We strive to deliver this care with compassion and empathy, understanding the stress and worry an ill pet causes a family. We offer a wide range of services including medical, surgical, and dental care, as well as diagnostic testing such as in-house lab, radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, and endoscopy. We are a one-stop center for your pet's health care needs. Additionally, we provide boarding services for our regular clients in a clean, sanitary, and climate-controlled kennel.

Dr. Eugene Wilson, the owner of Dowagiac Animal Hospital, comes from a long line of cattle and dairy-men but is from the first generation not raised on the farm. He was drawn to the world of medicine his whole life and not only loves animals but also understands their importance in our lives. Our team consists of highly trained and experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible.
