Meet Our Team

Our team of skilled professionals is dedicated to providing you and your pet with exceptional care. Meet our team:

• Benjamin Mackin, DVM, our owner and head veterinarian, has over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine. He holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
• Jaspen Mackin, our practice manager, has been involved with Carbondale Animal Hospital since 2007. She brings her expertise in communication and community outreach to our team.
• Melanie Arnold, our certified veterinary technician and lead technician, has a certificate in veterinary technology from Colorado Mountain College and has been with us since 2022.
• Brittany Decker, our technical receptionist, is responsible for ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently. She will soon be joined by Chris Vogt, our technician assistant, who will be contributing to our team soon.
