Our History
The Athens Veterinary Clinic has a rich history dating back to 1952 when it was founded by Dr. James Bratton and his brother-in-law, Dr. Marvin Phillips. Over the years, our clinic has undergone transformations, with Dr. Erik Aanestad purchasing the practice in 1993. After Dr. Aanestad's passing in 2015, his son, Dr. Marshall Aanestad, took over the reins, continuing the legacy of providing top-notch veterinary care to the communities of Athens and surrounding areas.
