Services
Preventative Medicine
Comprehensive physical exams and preventative care tailored to your pet's needs. Our services include vaccinations, parasite screenings, heartworm tests, and microchipping. We emphasize annual/bi-annual checkups to maintain optimal health, offering personalized advice on diet, lifestyle, and disease prevention while building long-term wellness plans for your pet.
Acupuncture
Customized acupuncture treatments combining Western and Eastern medicine principles. Dr. Caplin selects acupoints based on diagnosis and symptoms, using dry needling or electroacupuncture for pain management and chronic conditions. Treatments occur in your home environment to reduce stress, with sessions lasting approximately 20 minutes while incorporating treats to enhance comfort.
At-Home Euthanasia
Compassionate euthanasia services conducted in your pet's familiar surroundings. The process includes a sedative followed by the euthanasia procedure to ensure comfort. We provide emotional support during decision-making and offer aftercare options including cremation services. Our goal is to make this difficult transition as peaceful as possible for both pets and their families.
Therapeutic Laser
Non-invasive pain management for chronic and acute conditions using therapeutic laser technology. This treatment activates acupoints without needles, benefiting pets with arthritis, wounds, or hot spots. Sessions typically last under 10 minutes in a home environment, often incorporating treats and lick pads to create positive associations while delivering medical benefits.
Quality of Life Consultations
Extended appointments to evaluate your pet's quality of life across seven categories including pain, appetite, and mobility. Our veterinarians guide discussions about end-of-life decisions using established assessment criteria. These consultations help owners recognize signs that their pet's comfort may be declining while offering compassionate guidance through this challenging process.
