Our Team

Our veterinary team is comprised of experienced professionals who are passionate about animal care. Dr. Rick V Birdsong, our lead veterinarian, graduated from Kansas State University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He, along with his wife Cindy, bought the clinic in 1991 and have been operating it ever since. Dr. Birdsong is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients and is committed to nurturing the human-animal bond.

Lanell Huffman, our receptionist and assistant, recently obtained her Vet Tech license in January 2024. A native of Miami, OK, she grew up in Baca County and graduated from Campo High School in 1994. Lanell has a nursing degree from Lamar Community College and has been an integral part of our team.

Business Hours

Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. If you need to reach us outside of our regular business hours, please call (719) 523-4174 and leave a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
