Grants Lick Veterinary Hospital has been serving the community for over 50 years, starting from humble beginnings in a garage. Over the years, the practice has undergone significant growth, adding new staff members and expanding to include a satellite clinic. Despite these changes, the mission remains the same: to provide high-quality veterinary care in a compassionate manner. Our commitment to the community has earned us a reputation for trust, compassion, honesty, and respect.
Our History
In the early years, Dr. J.C. Crowley and his wife, Myra Jane, worked tirelessly to build the practice. They were soon joined by other dedicated veterinarians, including Dr. Paul Garofolo, Dr. Mike Crowley, and Dr. Steve Enzweiler. This collective effort helped the practice grow into one of the largest and longest-established veterinary practices in Northern Kentucky. The addition of a satellite clinic in Falmouth further expanded our reach.
Weathering the Storms
In the early 2000s, the practice underwent significant changes, including a shift from a mixed practice to primarily focusing on small animals. This transition was made possible by the support of the community. As the years passed, the hospital outgrew its current building, and a new facility was constructed to accommodate the growing needs.
Turning a New Leaf
In 2018, we opened a state-of-the-art facility, which includes a dedicated boarding facility, Grants Lick Bed and Biscuits. While our location has changed, our commitment to compassionate care remains unwavering. We continue to strive for excellence in veterinary care, client communication, and community involvement.
