Continuing education to offer cutting edge medicine and therapies

Alpine Animal Hospital has been a dedicated pillar of the Whitefish community and the Greater Flathead Valley since the late 1970s. Though our name and appearance have evolved over the decades, our unwavering commitment to our clients and their beloved pets remains steadfast. We strive to be more than just a veterinary clinic; we aim to be a trusted partner in your pet's journey, providing compassionate care and expert guidance through the joys and challenges of life. Our ultimate goal is to ensure your furry companion lives a long, healthy, and happy life, full of tail wags and adventures.

Our Team of Compassionate Professionals

What truly sets Alpine Animal Hospital apart is our team of dedicated and passionate professionals. Each member, from our experienced veterinarians to our caring receptionists and veterinary assistants, shares a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing the highest quality care.

Dr. Kevin Morrell, our clinic owner and head veterinarian, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Alpine Animal Hospital. Raised on a farm in South Dakota, Dr. Morrell developed a deep connection with animals from a young age. Prior to settling in the Flathead Valley, he honed his skills in a mixed animal practice in Wyoming. His passion for veterinary medicine led him to Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his doctorate. Outside of his surgical expertise, Dr. Morrell's keen interest in diagnostics ensures your pet receives comprehensive and accurate examinations.

Dr. Elizabeth Pitman, our newest veterinarian, brings a local touch to our team. A proud graduate of Whitefish High School, Dr. Pitman is thrilled to return to her roots and serve the community she calls home. After completing her undergraduate studies in History and Biology at the University of Puget Sound, Dr. Pitman pursued her veterinary doctorate at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Pitman's diverse professional interests encompass soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and preventative medicine, ensuring a well-rounded approach to your pet's health.

Supporting our veterinarians is a dedicated team of skilled professionals. Diane, our experienced receptionist, greets every client and patient with a warm smile and compassionate ear. Her background in medical assisting allows her to provide exceptional administrative support and answer your questions with expertise. Meghann and Brianna, our skilled veterinary assistants, are the backbone of our clinic, working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. They provide essential care to our furry patients, assisting our veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures.

At Alpine Animal Hospital, we offer a comprehensive suite of veterinary services designed to meet all your pet's needs throughout their life. From routine checkups and vaccinations to advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures, our team is committed to providing the highest standard of care.
