Mount Pleasant Veterinary Clinic

At Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic, we pride ourselves on being a family-oriented small animal private practice dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly and compassionate service. Our team of highly trained and experienced animal lovers is devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.

Our History

Our clinic was founded by Dr. Sam Halley in 1967 as a mixed animal practice. Dr. Jerry Skidmore joined Dr. Halley in 1973 and took over the practice after Dr. Halley's retirement. In 1986, Dr. Skidmore transitioned the practice to focus exclusively on small animals, becoming a small animal only practice. In 2012, Dr. Brittany Senn joined Dr. Skidmore as an associate, bringing new energy and dedication to the practice.

Dr. Brittany Senn

Growing up in Mt. Pleasant, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. I graduated from Chapel Hill ISD and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. I then attended the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2012. After completing my internship, I joined Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic as an associate to Dr. Jerry Skidmore. I am proud to be back in my hometown, serving the community I care so deeply about.

Dr. Jerry Skidmore

I graduated from Texas A&M University, where I earned High Honors. After graduating from veterinary school, I went on to serve in the US Army as a Captain, USAR Veterinary Corp. After my military service, I returned to Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic, where I have been practicing veterinary medicine for over 40 years.
