At Read Mountain Animal Hospital, our purpose is to provide uncompromised and compassionate healthcare for our patients with outstanding services to our clients. The doctors and staff will provide these services in a clean, cheerful, and always welcoming environment where both patients and clients will feel comfortable and relaxed. Through continued communication with clients, our commitment to quality education and medical advances, we will build a lasting relationship that will continue to strengthen the special relationship our client families have with their pets.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to cater to the health and wellness needs of your pets. Our hospital hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We have an in-house pharmacy that allows our doctors to start treatment for your pets immediately. Our licensed veterinary technicians are well-educated and can assist you with any questions you may have concerning your pet's medication. In case of an emergency, we have a list of emergency animal hospitals that you can contact.

Medical Staff

Our medical staff is dedicated to providing the best care for your pets. Dr. Bruce, our lead veterinarian, graduated from Virginia Tech in 1982 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and later received his doctorate from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Anna, our hospital manager and veterinary nurse, was born and raised in Tidewater Virginia and graduated from Radford University in 1982 with a B.S. in History.
