Our founder, Dr. Meredith Thomas, was inspired by her father's legacy as a veterinarian at Lanett Animal Clinic. As a teenager, she began working at the clinic, and her love for animals continued to grow over the years. She enrolled in Auburn University and later attended Tuskegee's College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she worked at Lanett Animal Clinic for three years before moving away to pursue other opportunities.

Dr. Thomas' love for animals and her passion for veterinary medicine led her to additional careers, including becoming a licensed esthetician and working part-time at a Merle Norman Cosmetics. Eventually, she returned to Lanett Animal Clinic to run the clinic full-time, committed to continuing her father's legacy of providing exceptional care to animals in the community.
