A History of Dedication

Our founder, Dr. Tracy Land, has dedicated her career to advocating for animals and ensuring their well-being. Her journey began in 1976 with her involvement with Georgia's Forsyth County Humane Society, where she served for a decade on the Board of Directors. Driven by her commitment, Dr. Land earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1987 and opened her first practice, Pet Vet. Recognizing the profound impact sterilization has on animal populations, she and her team pursued specialized training in pediatric sterilization in 1997. This expertise has allowed Dr. Land to refine her surgical techniques, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency while offering the most cost-effective spay/neuter services.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Land has shared her knowledge and experience, training over 100 veterinarians and veterinary technicians/nurses. Passionate about giving back, she has donated countless hours and resources to shelters, humane societies, and animal rescues, personally fostering over 300 homeless animals. Her dedication culminated in surpassing 100,000 low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, a testament to her unwavering commitment.

Building a Team of Compassionate Advocates

When Dr. Land sought to reduce her workload while continuing to make a difference, she joined forces with Logan's Run Rescue, a like-minded organization in Western North Carolina. Together, they established Tri-State Spay/Neuter & Veterinary Clinic in 2015, a clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable veterinary care to the community.

We firmly believe that good attitudes are paramount, creating a supportive and collaborative work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
