Our History

The Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. McCullough and his wife, Dianne, in 1979. Over the years, the clinic has grown to a multi-associate practice by committing to provide high-quality medicine to our patients and top-notch service to our clients. We have proudly instituted many state-of-the-art procedures, treatments, and diagnostics not typically found at non-specialty practices to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

On January 1st, 2018, Dr. McCullough and his wife sold their practice to Dr. Mikie Dawson and Patrick McCullough, their daughter-in-law and son. Today, we continue to grow and improve, offering the highest level of care and service to our clients and their pets.

Behavioral Consultations

Behavioral counseling is a service used to identify and resolve our patients' behavior and provide clients with solutions for success and a happy home. This includes addressing issues such as anxiety, aggression, and house soiling, among others. Our team works closely with you to understand your pet's behavior and develop a plan to improve their well-being and your relationship with them.

Dentistry

Dentistry encompasses many different solutions based on each individual patient. Generally, however, our practice performs anesthetic dental cleanings that include polishing, scaling, and extracting teeth (only if necessary) to get your pet feeling their best! Regular dental care is crucial for maintaining your pet's overall health and preventing issues such as periodontal disease.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a non-invasive diagnostic instrument used to perform procedures such as biopsies, foreign body removals, and pathology diagnosis that often prevents the need for more invasive surgical alternatives. This service allows us to quickly and accurately diagnose conditions and provide effective treatment options for your pet.

Echocardiography

Echocardiography is a non-invasive diagnostic test that uses sound waves (ultrasound) to make pictures of the heart and heart function. This is not a typical service offered by general practice veterinary hospitals. By providing this service, we can diagnose and manage heart conditions more effectively and ensure the best possible care for your pet.
