Meet Our Team

At Heartland Veterinary Hospital, we're proud to have a team of compassionate and highly qualified professionals dedicated to delivering the best possible care for your pet. Our team includes:

• Dr. Adam Ohms: A 2009 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ohms is a licensed veterinarian with extensive experience in general medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine. His special interests include internal medicine and critical care.
• Dr. Kristin Stahlheber: A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Stahlheber has practiced in the Edwardsville area since 2007. Her special interests include feline medicine, exotic animal medicine, and surgery.
• Dr. Kristin Brunstein: A 2021 graduate of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Brunstein's special interests include feline medicine, exotic animal medicine, and surgery.
• Dr. Haley Hartnagel: A 2022 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Hartnagel's special interests include emergency medicine and soft tissue/orthopedic surgery.
• Dr. Laura Boeren: A 2001 graduate of the University of Illinois, Dr. Boeren has a passion for surgery and interacting with clients. Her hobbies include coaching soccer, playing instruments, singing, painting, and calligraphy.
• Oliver: Our beloved office supervisor, Oliver, was born in 2011 and adopted by Dr. Ohms from Second Chance Rescue. Oliver has worked many general medicine and emergency shifts with Dr. Ohms and is dedicated to overseeing all grooming operations.
• Amanda Ohms: Our experienced groomer, Amanda, has been providing grooming services for over 6 years. She's known for her scissoring ability and attention to detail.
• Shelbi: Our certified veterinary technician, Shelbi, has a special interest in dentistry and dental radiography.
• Kathy: Our certified veterinary technician, Kathy, has over 23 years of experience in the veterinary field. She enjoys hiking, motorcycle cruises, and spending time with her family.
• Dana: Our office manager, Dana, has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field. She's passionate about client relations and has four beloved "fur" babies of her own.
