At Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to providing exceptional care for your equine companions. Located in Wilton, California, just minutes south of Sacramento, our clinic is situated on fifteen acres of land, allowing us to offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of horses. Our facility is designed to accommodate both routine and specialized care, including equine dentistry, reproductive services, sports medicine, wellness services, farrier services, and vaccination and deworming programs.

Our team of experienced veterinarians and support staff are dedicated to staying at the forefront of equine veterinary care, utilizing the latest technologies and techniques to achieve optimal results.

From pre-purchase exams to lameness evaluations, and from minor surgeries to diagnostic imaging, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to address every aspect of equine health. Our clinic is equipped with custom-built stocks for reproductive work, dental exams, and other procedures, as well as a breeding phantom for collecting stallions. We also have a large round pen available for pre-purchase and/or lameness evaluations.

At Hunter Stallion Station, we recognize the importance of preventative care and offer regular vaccination and deworming programs to maintain your horse's health. Our clinic is also equipped to handle emergency situations, providing 24/7 hospitalization treatments, including bandaging, oral and injectable medications, fluid therapy, and quarantine for infectious diseases.

Our History

Hunter Stallion Station Equine Veterinary Clinic was founded by Robert Hunter, DVM in 1985 as a breeding and boarding facility. Over the years, the clinic has evolved to include general equine veterinary care, and in 2004, it became a full-service equine veterinary hospital. Throughout its history, Hunter Stallion Station has remained dedicated to providing the highest quality of service, with a focus on the unique needs of each horse and their owners.
