Our hospital was designed with the specific goal of delivering excellence in emergency and specialty veterinary care. We are dedicated to serving dogs, cats, and horses throughout Pittsburgh and the greater Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland region. Our team of highly trained veterinarians works closely with your primary care veterinarians to ensure your pet receives the best care possible. We are proud to be an extension of your primary care veterinarian's practice, providing access to specialized equipment and veterinary specialists when needed.

Our 24-hour Emergency Center provides comprehensive care for pet emergencies at any time, day or night. Our experienced, compassionate emergency doctors are available to see you and your pet, and will stay with you through every step of your pet's care. If you need help getting your pet to the UVS hospital, we also offer a pet transport service.

Our facility was designed with fear free guidelines in mind to minimize the stress on your pet. We offer refreshments, free Wi-Fi, and device charging stations in our lobby to keep you comfortable as well.

When your pet is discharged, we will give you written instructions with detailed information on how to care for your pet at home. We are always available to answer any questions you may have, and we work closely with your primary care veterinarian to ensure a seamless transition back to their care.
