Nunnery Veterinary Hospital

Nunnery Veterinary Hospital, Inc. is a small animal clinic located in Summit, Mississippi, on the corner of 98W and Johnston Chapel Road. We are dedicated to providing a variety of small animal medicine and surgical services, as well as services for some exotic animals. Our aim is to create a stress-free and fun environment for our patients to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.

Our clinic was established in August 2016 by Dr. Carrie Nunnery, a dedicated and passionate veterinarian who graduated from Parklane Academy, Southwest Mississippi Community College, and Mississippi State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Nunnery's love for animals and commitment to their well-being has led her to create a team of knowledgeable staff who are equally dedicated to providing excellent care for our patients.

Our staff is very knowledgeable in preventative care for both dogs and cats and is committed to keeping our patients happy and healthy. We provide boarding services and have a large outdoor play area available for dogs. For our feline friends, we have large condos in a separate, quiet area of the clinic and a cat-only exam room to keep their visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible. We also provide care for exotic animals, excluding birds.

We are deeply involved in helping make our community better and support our local shelters as much as possible. Our Services

Our list of services includes small animal general medicine and surgery, boarding, a variety of preventative care medicines, and prescription diet food. We also offer emergency care for our clients and work with surrounding emergency veterinary clinics that are always available to anyone in need.

Our Team

Our team is led by Dr. Carrie Nunnery, who has a passion for helping animals in need. She is involved with multiple local animal shelters and has several rescue dogs and cats. Heather, who has been Dr. Carrie's technician for over 14 years, has a great love and compassion for animals, especially Boxers and their wiggly butts! She is great at helping owners understand the care needed for their beloved pet. Denise Bates, our receptionist, is dedicated to giving our clients peace of mind when choosing our establishment and making them feel at home. Caitie Cummins, our team member, has a lifelong love for animals and pets and enjoys working with the public and animals.
