Helping Veterans One Lick at a Time
Pets for Vets is a unique and compassionate organization that aims to create a bridge between two important groups in our society: veterans and pets. We understand the therapeutic benefits of the human-animal connection and strive to create a Super Bond between our nation's brave veterans and loving pets who need a second chance at life.
Our organization is dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and therapeutic environment for both veterans and pets. We believe that the bond between humans and animals is incredibly powerful and can have a profound impact on both parties. By pairing veterans with pets, we can help them overcome their challenges and live a more fulfilling life.
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is to enrich the lives of veterans by creating a Super Bond with custom trained working animals. We envision a future where the therapeutic benefits of the human-animal connection are recognized and valued, resulting in the successful selection and placement of A.C.E custom trained working animals with veterans.
How Our Program Works
Pets for Vets uses a tested, step-by-step approach to create the perfect match between a veteran and their new pet. We take the time to listen and understand the needs, wants, and hopes of each of our veterans. While the majority of our skilled animal companions are dogs, we've also placed cats and even rabbits! We invite any U.S. veteran who could benefit from having a skilled companion animal to apply.
The Super Bond Benefits of A.C.E Animals
Pets for Vets' innovative program, the Super Bond, is designed to create an unbreakable connection between a veteran and their new pet. This bond is incredibly powerful and can have a profound impact on both the veteran and the pet. Our trained animals can help veterans improve their mental and emotional well-being, enhance their social connections, encourage physical fitness, and ease feelings of loneliness and isolation.
How Our Program Helps Veterans and Pets
Pets for Vets is tailored to the needs, wants, and hopes of each of our veterans. We understand that every veteran is unique and has their own set of challenges and needs. By providing a loving and supportive pet, we can help veterans overcome their obstacles and live a more fulfilling life.
For pets, our program offers a second chance at life. Many of the animals we work with are in shelters and may have poor upbringings or be in the wrong place at the wrong time. By giving them a loving home with a veteran, we can provide them with the care and attention they deserve.
